These terms apply to your use of openyourupdate.co.uk (the "site"), run by Prophoenix Solutions Tech Limited (company number 12528135), trading as Open Your Update("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them.
1. Our service
We are a claims management company. We check whether you may be eligible for an equal pay claim and, if you agree, introduce you to our partner law firm. We are not a law firm and nothing on this site is legal advice.
2. No obligation
Completing the eligibility check does not commit you to anything. A claim only starts once you sign a funding agreement directly with the law firm.
3. Fees
We do not charge you. If your claim succeeds, the law firm charges a fee of 24% + VATof the money you recover, set out in full before you sign. If you cancel within 14 days, the firm can charge for work already done at your request. If you end your claim after that, you may have to pay a share of legal fees and costs. The full terms are in the engagement letter you'll see before you sign.
4. Free alternatives
You can pursue an equal pay claim yourself without a claims company or solicitor, for example by raising it with your employer, using Acas early conciliation, or applying to an employment tribunal. These routes are free.
5. Your information
You must give accurate information. How we handle it is explained in our Privacy Policy.
6. Using the site

7. Liability

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland you may also bring proceedings in the Scottish courts.
